"Good gym, but I’m tired of chasing repairs"
It’s a decent gym overall and there’s usually enough equipment to get a workout in, which I do appreciate. But I’m getting a bit tired of seeing the same treadmills or cable machines out of order so often. The staff are always polite when you mention it, but it feels like you have to keep bringing things up and then still wait ages for anything to be fixed. It’s usable, and I still go, but the maintenance really needs to be more consistent

I’ve had a decent experience overall, but finding an open locker during busy times can be frustrating... sometimes you get lucky, sometimes you don’t!

"Really enjoying the classes"
Been doing a few classes at The Gym Group and they’ve been great. The instructors are easy to follow, the sessions are fun, and there’s enough variety to keep it interesting. Always leave feeling better.

"Decent gym, but staff can be hard to find"
It’s an okay gym for the price, and most of the equipment I use works fine. My only real complaint is that staff aren’t always easy to find, especially later in the day. A couple times I had to walk around just to ask a simple question, which gets annoying. Also, I’m not a fan of how the terms seem to change or get updated without much clear notice. It makes it harder to know what you’re actually agreeing to. Overall, not a bad place, but they could definitely be more visible and communicate better.

I wasn’t exactly looking forward to the induction, but it turned out to be quick and clear. The staff helped me get set up without making a fuss, so I can’t really complain.

"PT sessions seemed to really help"
I’ve had a few PT sessions now they’ve been good. I’m not an expert or anything, so I can’t say for sure how much progress is from the sessions versus just going more often, but I definitely feel more comfortable. My trainer explains things in a normal way without making it awkward, and he checks my form every time, which has helped a lot. I’m way less nervous in the weights area now. The gym itself is nice, but for me the trainer has probably made the biggest difference.

The gym actually felt really nice today, like cool and fresh instead of all stuffy. you could tell the air was moving around, and I wasn’t already sweating before I even started working out. makes a Big difference...

I had a small billing issue and reached out to support. They got back to me fast, kept me updated by email, and made sure the receipt matched the fix once it was sorted out. Overall, it was handled really well and I’m happy with the support.

"Could Use More Equipment"
I like the place overall, but there just isn’t enough equipment available when it gets busy. I found myself waiting around more than actually working out, which kind of takes away from the whole reason I’m there. It made me realize how much the right setup matters, not just for convenience, but for staying motivated and keeping a good routine going...

"Good value, especially if you like classes"
I’ve been happy with The Gym Group so far, to be fair. I’m probably a bit biased because I mainly judge gyms by how easy it is to get into classes, and they’ve usually got a decent range during the week. Most of the time I can book what I want, which keeps me motivated. The only annoying thing is the popular evening classes get snapped up really quickly, so you do have to stay on top of it. Overall though, I think it’s good value for the price

The gym itself is decent and has most of the stuff I need. The price is fair too, so on paper it checks a lot of boxes. But going after work is a different story. It gets so packed that I’ve spent way too much time waiting around for a bench or cable machine, which kind of takes the momentum out of the whole workout. The staff have always seemed nice and the place is generally clean, so it’s not a bad gym by any means. It just feels like they could do with a bit more equipment or some way to manage the busy times better. It’s fine overall, but not exactly the place I’d go if I wanted a smooth, stress-free session.

I’ve dealt with enough subscriptions to notice the usual pattern: cancelling is almost always more annoying than signing up. This was the opposite. I clicked through, canceled easily, and there was no fuss or runaround at all.

This gym is right around the corner from my work, so I can easily pop in before heading home. it makes skipping a workout feel avoidable now, and it’s been way easier to stay consistent.

"Clean and well looked after"
I’ve been going to The Gym Group for a few months now and, to be fair, it’s always been really clean whenever I’ve been in. The changing rooms, toilets, and machines are kept tidy, and you can usually see staff going around wiping things down. Maybe some places could take notes, because it really does make a difference. I’ve never had any issues with bad smells or mess, so it’s 5 stars from me.

"I signed up to The Gym Group…"
I signed up to The Gym Group online and it was really straightforward. I was feeling mentally drained at the time, so I was glad it didn’t turn into a whole confusing process. I just picked my gym, chose the plan, paid in a few minutes, and got the email straight away with my details and PIN. No messing about, no waiting around, and I didn’t have to speak to anyone, which was a relief.

"Felt safe, but a bit misled"
I’ve been going to The Gym Group for a while now and, to be fair, I do usually feel safe there. The entry system works fine, the lockers are decent enough, and there’s normally staff around if you need someone. Even when I’ve gone later in the evening, it still feels secure, which is important to me. That said, I did feel a bit misled by how things were presented at first, like it sounded a bit more straightforward than it actually ended up being.

"Refund was handled quickly"
I cancelled and asked for a refund, and it went through faster than I thought it would. No back-and-forth or hassle, which is really all you can ask for in that situation. Happy with how they dealt with it...
